The Joint International Master in Sustainable Development is a full time programme which is completed over 2 years with a total of 120 ECTS credits and includes one obligatory mobility semester at a partner institution.
The focus of this international and interdisciplinary master's programme is set on a comprehensive approach the question of sustainable development and the needs and possibilities of societal transformation. The strengths and specializations in teaching and research of six prestigious partner universities are combined to offer you a high profile programme to be concluded with a "Master of Science" (MSc.) joint or multiple degree.
As a graduate of this joint programme you will have a wide field of employment options in the private, public and semi-public sector or you may choose an academic career by continuing with PhD-studies in a relevant field.
We are looking for highly qualified and motivated students interested in the issue of sustainable development and especially its international dimension. Would you like to analyse and evaluate complex processes of sustainablity issues from the interdisciplinary perspective in a close-knit peer group?

The issue of sustainable development has high priority on the international political and scientific agenda. It is also a cross-boundary issue, since any problem derived from the relation between the environment and development will not stop at a country's borders. The concept of "sustainable development" has far-reaching significance. There is an international obligation to carefully weigh the benefits of economic development against the environmental and social costs.

Admission to this Master's Programme is granted to persons who have completed at least the equivalent of a Bachelor's or Diploma degree, and can demonstrate their research skills, their basic knowledge of the natural and/or social sciences, and a general insight in the subject of sustainable development and intervention strategies.
