The European Joint Master’s Programme in English and American Studies brings together the expertise of eight partner universities worldwide and is offered entirely in English.
It focuses on the language and cultures of English-speaking countries, while promoting intercultural perspectives within a framework of general academic competence in the humanities. An additional value of the programme is its emphasis on English language proficiency.
The call for applications 2027/28 will open on December 1, 2026.
The deadline for submission is April 1, 2027.
The consortium will offer Q & A sessions in January/February and March 2027.

Student Conference 2027
The 2027 student conference Spanning Regions and Disciplines of the European Joint Master's Programme in English and American Studies will be hosted by Ca' Foscari University of Venice on May 3, 2027.
This year’s theme, “Changing Landscapes, Shifting Grounds”, explores the constant movement in and across our contemporary world, especially in a city like Venice, exposed to climate change and always on the brink of collapse, yet which continues to resist adding new chapters to its centuries-long history..
This graduate student conference invites Master’s students and alumni of the EJMPEAS to examine these shifts, exploring the fluid intersections between regions, languages, literatures, and cultures. We welcome contributions that challenge conventional borders and investigate how texts and languages respond to a rapidly altering world.
