The first CIRCLE Board & Selection Meeting took place from 21 to 22 February 2019 at the University of Graz.

The CIRCLE consortium which is composed of the University of Graz (coordinator), Chalmers University of Technology, Delft University of Technology, Leiden University, and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology selected the best 16 candidates for a Erasmus Mundus grant and a study place in the Erasmus Mundus "International Master's Programme on Circular Economy". Nonetheless, the final approval of all selected CIRCLE students and scholarship holders will be done by the European Commission (EC) in late April 2019.

In total, 446 applications were created of which 210 applications were submitted successfully. At the end, 91 applications were qualified as eligible. These applications were evaluated and ranked by the Admission Committee according to the stipulated selection criteria published on the programme's website.

Within the next days, all applicants will be informed about the selection results via email.
