In higher education, we greatly appreciate the privilege of having the opportunity to start from scratch twice a year: once at the beginning of each calendar year, like most of us, and then at the beginning of each academic year. Here at the University of Graz, we begin preparations weeks in advance so that we can welcome the new academic year and our new students every October.
Especially for international degree programmes such as our Joint Master's programmes, it is immensely important to give our international students, who come from different academic and culturalhashtagacademic backgrounds, a smooth start to this new and exciting chapter in their lives.
Last week, we welcomed our 2025/26 intake of students to the Joint International Master in Sustainable Development at the University of Graz. We were delighted to welcome a group of passionate young graduates eager to embark on a shared journey of gaining insights into the fields of sustainable development hashtagsustaand social transformationg.
Drawing on the expertisehtag of seven partner universities worldwide, the programme will equip them with the tools and skills to approach sustainable issues from an interdisciplinary perspective, allowing them to specialise in focus areas such as climate change, corporate sustainability management, hashtag environmental and resources hashtaeconomics, environmental change and ecosystems, earth system governance, or global development policy.
A warm welcome to the Joint International Master in Sustainable Development and to the University of Graz.
