How to apply

Begin of page section: Contents:

Applying for a Master's programme requires great deal of time and effort. To help applicants decide whether they should apply for the programme, the following questions might be of helpful use:

  • Why would you like to participate in the CIRCLE programme?
  • In what way will the programme affect your professional future?
  • What are your (academic!) reasons for choosing: the CIRCLE programme, the university for year 1 and the university for year 2?
  • Which specialization track are you interested in?
  • What do you think would CIRCLE add to your previous experience?

In order to apply for the International Master's Programme on Circular Economy (CIRCLE), applicants have to fill in an online application (available when the call is open), and rank host university 1 and host university 2 (University of Graz, Chalmers University of Technology, Delft University of Technology/Leiden University, Norwegian University of Science and Technology).

1. Please read carefully the Admission Criteria section to find out if you are eligible for the programme.

2. Choose and rank one of the European Partners as your host university 1 (where you spend the 1st year of your studies) and as your host university 2 (where you spend the 2nd year of your studies and where you complete the programme). Please note that this only reflects your preferences. The final decision on the division of selected students between the host university 1 and the host university 2 is met by the Admissions Committee.

3. Collect all documents that need to be uploaded to the online application (as PDF):

  • CV
  • Copy of passport or identity card (the latter only for EU citizens)
  • Language certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Certificate)
  • Transcript of records / Diploma Supplement (if provided)
  • Diploma certificate / degree certificate
  • Two academic letters of recommendation
  • Abstract of Bachelor thesis
  • Additional Information (List of Bachelor courses in mathematics and/or statistics and in environmental sciences and/or systems sciences (each min. 12 ECTS))

4. Apply online here: the link will be provided when the call for application opens
