The selection and admission process for the International Master's Programme on Circular Economy is a 2-step procedure.

1) Selection process:

The coordinating university (University of Graz) reviews the completeness of the submitted applications and the authenticity of the uploaded application documents. After that, the Admission Committee checks whether the eligibility requirements are met.

If applications are found to be incomplete and/or non-eligible, the coordinating university informs the applicants accordingly via email.

Eligible applications are reviewed, evaluated and ranked by the CIRCLE Admission Committee according to the Selection Criteria published on the programme's website.

The CIRCLE applicant with the highest score will be ranked first, the one with the second highest score as second etc. Please note that the CIRCLE programme will select maximal 16 students per intake for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

For each edition, main and reserve lists for students from Programme Countries and Partner Countries will be elaborated.

Applicants will be informed about the selection results via email.

IMPORTANT: The final approval of all selected CIRCLE students and scholarship holders will be done by the European Commission (EC) approximately in late April.

Once the EC have confirmed the selection results, the selected students will be contacted by the coordinating university providing them with a nomination letter including the details of the scholarship as well as with an acceptance letter.

By accepting the nomination of the scholarship, the selected students confirm their acceptance of the scholarship guidelines and pledge to take all the necessary measures to start and complete the mobility successfully and in accordance with all the stipulated administrative and academic requirements.

NOTE: A restricted number of students of the reserve list have the possibility to follow the CIRCLE programme as self-payer students.

The CIRCLE consortium guarantees an absence of any conflict of interest as well as transparency and equal treatment for all applicants.

Thus, any objection related to the selection results can be filed at emcircle(at) and will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

2) Admission process:

In case applicants have received a positive result, the respective host university will provide them with information on the individual admission process.

! Please note that the offer of a place in the International Master's Programme is contingent on your fulfilling the requirements for admission at your respective host university.

! Please note that at this point selected candidates have to provide original and certified documents.
