1) Selection / Selection Criteria
The consortium is aware of the effort and time all applicants will have invested in completing the application. However, please note that it is a very highly competitive application and selection process. For the verification, evaluation and selection of the submitted applications, the committee will follow the selection criteria as laid down by the consortium:
- Excellence of the candidate
- Motivation statement
- English language proficiency
2) Admission
The selection for the European Joint Master’s Programme in English and American Studies is not an automatic admission to the respective entrance university.
If you have received a positive result, you will be contacted by the contact person of your entrance university who will provide you with information about the individual admission process.
! Please note that the offer of a place on the Joint Master’s Programme is contingent on your fulfilling the requirements for admission at your entrance university.
! Please note that you must submit original and/or certified documents at this time.


3) Visa & Residence Permit
As a non-EU/EEA citizen, you must apply for a residence permit (stays longer than 6 months).
As a Joint Programme student, you can apply for a “Residence Permit Student with Mobility”. The card is valid for 2 years due to the mandatory mobility. The card can be extended if you continue to fulfil the requirements.
Please inform yourself about the necessary documents and the financial requirements for a residence permit. When applying, you must be able to proide proof of financial means for your stay in the country of your entrance university.
