The Louisana State University is organising its 6th annual languages and literatures conference from 9 to 11 March 2023. Its conference theme "Conflict: Gobal Perspectives" asks participants to consider the relationship between literature and language and conflict and how literature and language "do" conflict, how they complicate and are complicated by notions and irreconcilabilites of gender, class, race, mood, emotion, genre, and aesthetics. 

Presentations treating conflicted/conflicting narrative, visual, and cinematic representations of unraveling communities, relationships, and environments are especially welcome. Abstract submissions are welcomed by 1 December 2022.
