Welcome Sustainers 2022 Generation!

University of Graz is happy to welcome the new students of the Joint International Master in Sustainable Development.

University of Graz coordinates a consortium of eight universities that jointly offer the Joint International Master's Programme in Sustainable Development. The objective of this master is to offer an international and interdisciplinary education of the highest quality which enables participants to make a significant contribution to the transformation of society towards sustainability.

In the upcoming semester, 17 students from 11 countries (Japan, Singapore, Turkey, Philippines, USA, Russia, Ukraine and several European countries) are starting the programme at University of Graz. The students do not only have different cultural, but also diverse disciplinary backgrounds in the social and natural sciences, which will guarantee a truly international and interdisciplinary classroom experience in the upcoming semesters.

A welcome meeting for the new students took place on September 21 in a hybrid format. Academic coordinator Thomas Brudermann and Anja Hoffmann from the International Office provided the newcomers with relevant information for a good start, and students from the higher semesters shared their experiences.

We wish our new "Sustainers" all the best on their path towards becoming sustainability change agents and many great experiences in this programme.
