Admission to this Master's Programme is granted to persons who have completed at least the equivalent of a Bachelor's or Diploma degree in history, ethnology, Balkanology, and cultural anthropology. Applicants with degrees in other fields of studies may be considered if their preparation is deemed appropriate by both the Joint Degree Programme and the specific institution to which they are applying for admission as their home university.
The three main admission criteria are:
Depending on the chosen home university, the language of instruction in the Master's Programme is German, Slovenian or Romanian. Students, whose first language is not the language required for the study at the home university, must demonstrate a high level of language competence through the provision of a language certificate.
