Upon successful completion of the Master's programme, students are awarded a “Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development - M.Sc.” Background information can be found in our course guide.

  • Germany: Master of Science (M.Sc.)
  • Japan: Master of Science (M.Sc.)


You will be awarded a Joint Degree by Hiroshima University in cooperation with Leipzig University and the University of Graz after fulfilling the specific requirements.

In addition, graduates of the Joint International Master in Sustainable Development, including the Joint Degree programme, will receive a diploma supplement and a jointly issued bridging document, containing all information about the programme and its international structure, provided by the respective entrance university.

The entrance university is responsible for handling the graduation process by confirming the successful completion of the programme in accordance with the programme requirements. The entrance university issues the joint degree certificate and informs the partner universities about the completion of the Joint Degree programme.
