How to apply

  1. Please  read carefully the Admission Criteria section to find out if you are eligible for the programme. Please check also the information about the selection and admission process!
  2. Choose one of the consortium partners as your entrance university (where you spend the Basic module in the first semester and where you complete the programme).
  3. Choose your spezialisation tracks (where you spend your second semester - prioritize 1-5)
  4. Find an overview of your possibilities HERE.
  5. Collect all documents that need to be uploaded in the online application (as PDF)
  6. Apply online here:

  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Copy of passport (ID page with photograph)
  • Language certificate* (exception: English-native-speaking applicants)
  • Transcript of Records
  • University diploma/Bachelor certificate
  • Diploma Supplement (if provided by your university)
  • Grade point average (GPA) or average mark and Information about the grading system used at your University (please use the TEMPLATE) - please upload as PDF
  • Information about courses relevant for the application (please use the TEMPLATE)
  • Statement of Financial Resources (please use the TEMPLATE)
  • 2 signed Letters of Recommendation (at least one of which from a staff member your bachelor/degree programme)*
  • Motivation statement (you have to insert your statement into the application directly but it is recommended to type it in advance - max 4.000 characters )


* it is possible to hand in the language certificate after the application deadline. Please upload the confirmation of application for the English test and indicate the exam resp. result date in the application. The certificate should be available during the selection committee meeting which takes place mid April!

* it is possible to upload the recommendation letters directly to the online application. If the person who is writing the recommendation doesn't want to send the letter to you, he/she may send it directly to jointdegrees(at) and we will do the upload.

Online Application

In order to successfully complete the online application, please follow the steps below:

Step 1 consists of:

  • Entering main data (including your profile picture)
  • Providing information on abourt your profile
  • Stating your language skills
  • Entering your motivation statement

This step is then confirmed with the “Finish Data Entry” button. After clicking on this button, no further changes to this section will be possible.

 Step 2 consists of:

  • Uploading your documents (Note: all documents have to be either in the English language or with an English translation.)
  • Ranking the entrance universities and specialisation tracks according to your preferences (Note: You cannot select specialisation tracks at your chosen entrance university.)

Submit your application by clicking on "Finish application". Once you click on the “Finish application” button, you will have no further access to your application and absolutely no changes will be possible anymore. So please make sure to carefully review your application before hitting the submit button "Finish application".

Note: If you have any questions, please consult the FAQS first and only send an email in case you cannot find the answer online. Due to a high number of emails during the application period, answers may take some time!

English certificates

  • TOEFL: paper based - 580 | computer-based - 237 | internet-based - 93
  • IELTS (academic test): minimum required score of 6.5 and not less than 6.0 in the writing section
  • Cambridge EFL (English as a Foreign Language) presenting one of the following certificates:
    • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (minimum score B)
    • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (minimum score C)
