Diversity and a wide scope characterise the education programmes at the six faculties. Students can choose from more than 100 bachelor, master and diploma programmes.

The Joint Master's programme in Sustainable Development is closely linked to the interdisciplinary scientific field “Environmental Systems Sciences” at Graz University, embedded in the Faculty of Environmental, Regional and Educational Sciences. You'll work together with Environmental Systems Science students as well as with students from the international master’s programme in Industrial Ecology.

Transition towards sustainability
We study transition, innovation, and adaptation processes within human-environment systems, and develop inter- and transdisciplinary methods to analyze and model human-environment systems, set up scenarios and transition pathways, and assess regulatory strategies.

Inter- and transdisciplinary research and teaching
We are a highly motivated interdisciplinary group of teachers and researchers from fields including natural sciences, geography, systems sciences, and sustainability-oriented management. On this basis, we can develop inter- and transdisciplinary concepts for supporting important decisions that influence sustainability, as well as help initiate sustainability-oriented transition, innovation and adaptation processes in a variety of human-environment systems.
