Within the Joint International Master in Sustainable Development there is the unique opportunity for four students to earn a Joint Degree between the Universities Graz and Hiroshima or Leipzig and Hiroshima.


What is a Joint Degree?

It is a diploma jointly issued and awarded by both universities. The Master degree is recognized in both countries.


What are the requirements and what are my options?

1. When choosing the University of Graz or Leipzig University as your preferred entrance university, you have the possibility to apply for both options:

  • the regular Joint Master with a mandatory mobility of 30 ECTS at Hiroshima University (Master degree of Graz or Leipzig only)
  • the Joint Degree options with a mandatory mobility of 60 ECTS at Hiroshima University (Joint Degree diploma)

You can indicate your options during the online application process (last step "Ranking")

2. When choosing Hiroshima University as your preferred entrance university, you can only apply for the Joint Degree option with a mandatory mobility of 60 ECTS credits at the University of Graz or Leipzig University.
