My experience of completing a double degree at the University of Bamberg, with Ca' Foscari University of Venice as my home university, has been truly unforgettable. I studied Literary Studies during this program. In addition, I also had the opportunity to participate in an Overseas program at Exeter, which further enriched my international journey. However, my time in Bamberg was undoubtedly the highlight of all my experiences.
The city is absolutely beautiful, and the professors are highly competent and genuinely dedicated to working closely with students. They offered invaluable advice and support, making the learning experience even more meaningful. Moreover, the people I met there made the entire journey even more special — their kindness and openness created a welcoming environment.
I also had the chance to attend two Students and Alumni Conferences, one as a student in Bamberg and another as an alumnus in Pécs, Hungary. These events helped me connect with new students across Europe, hear diverse perspectives, and prepare me for what I’m doing now. In fact, I will be starting a PhD at Heidelberg University this October, and I feel that these experiences have played a crucial role in reaching this next step in my academic journey.
