Arqus Joint Master's Programme European Studies - Europe as a Global Actor

The Arqus Joint Master’s Programme European Studies is a full-time master’s programme which brings together the expertise and academic excellence of four partner universities (Granada, Graz, Leipzig and Vilnius). The programme focuses on the relationship between Europeanization and globalization, the impact of global developments on Europe and the changing role of the continent in the new world order and is offered entirely in English.

Joint International Master in Sustainable Development The Joint International Master in Sustainable Development is a prime example of a programme in which sustainability issues are approached from an interdisciplinary perspective. It offers specialisations from the natural and social sciences on the intensely debated topic of sustainable development and combines the strengths of eight partner universities worldwide.

Joint International Master in Sustainable Development - Joint Degree with Hiroshima 

Within the Joint International Master in Sustainable Development, there is the unique opportunity for four students per cohort to obtain a Joint Degree between the Universities of Graz and Hiroshima or Leipzig and Hiroshima. Interested applicants are welcome to apply for both programmes.

Erasmus Mundus International Master's Programme on Circular Economy (CIRCLE)

The Erasmus Mundus International Master's Programme on Circular Economy (CIRCLE) imparts knowledge on the creation and optimisation of technologies for sustainable development at the interface of natural, social and engineering sciences. You explore the application of circular economy (CE) concepts at business, local, regional, national and international levels, and work in multi-, inter- and transdisciplinary teams to make substantial contributions to the understanding and development of possible solutions for current challenges, and thus support the transition towards a sustainable society.

European Joint Master's Programme in English and American Studies

The European Joint Master’s Programme in English and American Studies brings together the expertise of eight partner universities worldwide and is offered entirely in English. It focuses on the language and cultures of English-speaking countries, while promoting intercultural perspectives within a framework of general academic competence in the humanities.

Master's Programme in Southeast European Studies

The Master's Programme in Southeast European Studies provides you with a professional understanding of the interconnection between history, politics, law, economics, and culture in South-Eastern Europe. Corea areas of teaching are e.g., European integration, democratisation, human rights, rule of law, social history, as well as post-colonial and intersectional studies. You can specialise in either history or law and politics.

The International Graduate Study Programme in Cultural Sociology focuses on teaching theoretical and methodological approaches of cultural sociology, as well as the academic skills for researching and analysing the interactions of culture with social, political and economic processess and structures.

The focus of the German-taught Joint Master's Programme in Jewish Studies: History of Jewish Cultures is the culture, religion, literature and history of Judaism with special focus on the cultural, political and social processes of change in processes of change in Europe.

The Joint Master's Programme in Translation (Slovene, German and English) provides not only intensive professional and practical training for translators, but also advanced theoretical and subject-specific knowledge of individual skillsets.
